Service inquiries
Reboot Houston uses the contact details and business context you provide to evaluate the request, respond, arrange a conversation, and determine an appropriate next step.
Website hosting and email-delivery providers may process inquiry information only as needed to operate the request form and deliver your message to Reboot Houston.
Do not send passwords, recovery codes, regulated records, or other sensitive information through an initial website, text, or voicemail inquiry.
Administrative access
Managed services may require administrative access to covered devices, accounts, cloud services, security tools, backup platforms, and vendor portals. The written proposal identifies the access needed and why it is needed.
Customers keep appropriate ownership of their domains, subscriptions, accounts, and data. Reboot asks for only the access needed to deliver the service described in the agreement.
Credentials and authentication
Before work begins, Reboot and the customer agree on a secure way to share credentials. Do not send passwords or recovery codes through ordinary email or text.
Customers should not share an employee's personal password when a separate administrative role, temporary credential, or other controlled method can accomplish the work.
Remote support and monitoring
If an agreement includes remote support or monitoring, it identifies whether access may occur while an employee is present or when the device is unattended. Management tools may collect the device details, settings, health, update status, alerts, and support activity needed to provide the service.
The presence of a management or support tool does not authorize unrelated access to customer files, communications, or business data.
Customer files and business data
Access should be limited to what an approved support, administration, recovery, migration, security, or troubleshooting task requires. If a task may expose sensitive information, Reboot and the customer establish the access method and business approval first.
Customers remain responsible for identifying regulated, confidential, privileged, or contract-restricted information and communicating handling requirements before service begins.
Vendors and service records
A managed IT proposal may include technology vendors for support, monitoring, security, licensing, backup, documentation, or communication. The proposal and supporting documents identify the platforms and responsibilities included in the service.
Service records may document devices, accounts, settings, approved contacts, support activity, risks, and decisions needed to support the customer's technology.
